About Graham Technical Services
Technology Leadership Without the Overhead
Graham Technical Services exists to help organizations make clear, confident technology decisions—especially when those decisions feel overwhelming, risky, or overdue.
Not every organization needs a full-time CTO.
But every organization needs someone who understands technology, people, and business well enough to connect the dots.
That’s where I come in.
Who I Am
I’m David Graham, a technologist and fractional CTO with experience leading and delivering projects for organizations ranging from large enterprises to mission-driven nonprofits.
Over the years, I’ve worked with teams connected to:
- Progressive Insurance
- Cleveland Clinic
- CBIZ
- Medical Mutual of Ohio
- Rosa Parks Foundation
- Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
- KeyBank
That experience shaped how I work today: practical, calm, and focused on outcomes—not buzzwords.
How I Work
I work with a very small number of clients.
I’m deliberate about the projects I take on, because my best work happens when I can be fully engaged — not spread thin. I don’t aim to take on every opportunity. I choose the ones where I can have a meaningful impact.
My role is to:
- Translate business goals into focused technical direction
- Eliminate unnecessary risk, complexity, and distraction
- Ensure effort is spent on work that actually moves the organization forward
- Help teams make fewer, better decisions
That often means slowing things down before speeding them up.
It sometimes means getting hands-on.
And it frequently means advising not to build something at all.
If I don’t believe an engagement is
What Makes This Different
There’s no one-size-fits-all framework here.
You get:
- Honest answers—even when they’re uncomfortable
- Advice grounded in real-world experience
- A partner who thinks long-term, not just to the next sprint
- Leadership without ego or upsell pressure
If I’m not the right fit, I’ll say so.
If your team doesn’t need me long-term, that’s a success—not a failure.
Who I Work With
I typically work with:
- Founders and executive teams
- Small to mid-sized organizations
- Nonprofits and community-focused groups
- Teams navigating growth, transition, or technical debt
If you care about doing things well and thoughtfully, we’ll get along.
Let’s Start with a Conversation
Most engagements begin with a simple conversation—no pitch, no obligation.
Just a chance to understand what you’re trying to do, what’s getting in the way, and whether I can help.
If I can, great.
If I can’t, I’ll still try to point you in the right direction.
